Mathematics at MYP outlines four branches of study
Through analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills, students understand the principles and nature of mathematics and transfer these skills to a wide range of real-life situations. They explore developments in technology and mathematics and their impact on our lives.
Ela Green offers the program at two levels – Standard and Extended Level.
Mathematics (Standard): Standard Mathematics aims to provide a sound knowledge of basic mathematical principles
Mathematics (Extended): Extended Curriculum takes learners beyond MYP Math Standard resource, providing opportunities to master more advanced mathematical concepts and skills.
Extended Mathematics supplements the Standard curriculum with additional topics and skills, providing greater breadth and depth of study.
The students interested in pursuing a course of study in mathematics are encouraged to opt for higher-level Mathematics (HL) and those who are intrigued by the concepts and wish to study at a slower pace can opt for standard-level Mathematics (SL). This way the course is tailored to suit their needs and the learning style will help the students reach their full potential.
