Ela Green School is a private, co-educational independent school with students from Play School to Class VIII and we intend increasing the classes progressively to 12th standard. Ela Green School provides students with the IB (International Baccalaureate) Curriculum in the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and in Middle Years Programme (MYP) within an enriched, caring and secure environment. We focus on Academics, our environment and a Healthy Active Living Program
At Ela Green School, we pride ourselves in promoting academic, social, physical, and character development of our students and the facilitation of interactive communication between parents and teachers. We believe education should be imparted with a confidence building healthy mindset and a healthy active lifestyle. These are the foundations of Ela Green School and we strive to encourage our students to reach their full potential by developing into kind, caring and active global citizens of our society.
When children are faced with a challenge, some children see the challenge as a learning experience and an opportunity to overcome the challenge. They believe in themselves and seem to have a confident 'I Can' mindset.
However, there are other children who seem unprepared to face the challenge. They are unsure and tend to believe that they may not be able to and that their intelligence is up for scrutiny. They are afraid to try and are afraid of being tagged with failure. They have conflicting thoughts, like, will I succeed or fail? Will I look smart or dumb? Will I be accepted or rejected? They tend to lean towards a 'I Can't' mindset.
All through life, our mindset plays a critical role in how we cope with life's challenges. In school, a child with the 'I Can' mindset can contribute to greater achievement and tend to try harder. They are confident and ready to explore. When they try and fail, they tend to view failure or disappointment as a learning They are more resilient to persevere in the face of setbacks.
By giving children a positive learning experience, we can nurture a 'I Can' mindset. At Ela, we take initiatives to nurture in each child, the spirit of 'I Can'. We motivate children to believe in themselves instead of focusing solely on results or marks. By focusing on the learning rather than the outcome, we help children understand that their efforts, hard work, and dedication 'CAN' lead to change, learning, and growth; both now and in the future.
More now than ever, more of us are realizing that our future depends on protecting the health and wellbeing of our children and the planet. But how can we have a green future or a green economy without green schools? We have come to a point where there is an immediate urgency to do what each of us can. To start with, we must educate the new generation so that the new generation can herald this change. They can be taught practices and skills to solve the global environmental problems we face. Nurturing children with a green consciousness is Ela Green School's bit to protect the earth.
Yet another area where we make a difference with respect to sustainable resource use is in the consumption of office and school supplies. We stress on reducing the amount of office and school supplies we purchase, reuse as many materials as possible, and recycle the rest.

Sustainability is about ensuring adequate resources for a clean, healthy environment for all. We imagine schools will eventually lead in environmental sustainability. We believe schools will give students the tools to be innovators and give them a healthy environment in which they can learn and play. We, at Ela Green School empower our children by teaching them environmental and health values that will stay with them for life.
Ela Green School is a healthy sustainable school, starting from our green building. We have used all the most sustainable construction materials and techniques. We strive to maintain a toxic free environment, use resources sustainably and have green and healthy space for the children. Our classrooms are high ceiling rooms that are spacious, well light and ventilated. We also take our children outdoors and engage them in environmental lessons through gardening and composting.
