Several reasons plague the state of education in the country, with apathy and a lack of social awareness standing out prominently, like the top frothy layer of milk. The education system often loses itself in the maelstrom of grades and textbooks.
At Ela, CAS—creativity, action, and service—is part of the DP curriculum, where students brainstorm ways to contribute to the community. They engage in dialogue and undergo training to support one another through difficult times. In a poignant testament to this ethos, DP students planned and executed a fundraiser to aid the victims of the Michaung flood.
